We just completed a nine day Easy Pace tour of Budapest, Vienna and Prague. Satisfied with hotels, food and driver-- who made you feel safe at all times. The issue is little detailed info was given verbally on the coach about the surrounding landscape but more importantly, what was of prime significance in each city. The guide posted a blurb in the hotel lobby in each city but did not tell us what were the key things to visit. So in Budapest we missed the Hungarian Parliament and the Grand Synagogue---both magnificent structures. Maybe it was our fault for not researching this before our tour but on less expensive tours (about 7 with Trafalgar) we always understood the full scope and history of the places. The city guides, except for one, were unhelpful in this regard. "Grand Synagogue is largest in Europe." That's all.
The bus rules were lax at best and unenforced. People ignored the rotation rule and when nicely asked to move ahead by ourselves, as to give everyone a good viewing seat in turn, they refused saying, "Come on mate, just sit anywhere. Doesn't matter where you sit. Why should we move?"
Why is it my job to enforce rules? Whose job is it?
So, two or three fellow travellers were intent on placing their bare feet up over the seat in front,
Shouting out whenever they felt like it, and overall obnoxious behaviour. Maybe I should have addressed these things with the guide but I didn't.
Most of the passengers were great but i will not be using Insight again. First class this is not.
